Your sense of memory is even sharpened when you have physical memory of the person, place or moment. Thomas the apostle did not demand to touch the wounds of the crucified Lord for nothing. He wanted to carry the physical presence of his master as he would travel across the land and sea.

This awesome presence and touch is what I experience as I hold the hands of the Holy Father (Pope Benedict XVI during the audience to his priests in the diocese of Rome on 26th February 2009). When presence meet you have no words, your expressions are limited. All I could say to His Holiness was “Good Morning HOLY FATHER – bless me” and what else can he say then to ask “Where are you from?” But that’s how most stories begin... The moment was incredible. It is going to keep you accompany for long.
